Hi, I'm Grant Kennedy, a passionate Product Designer with over three years of experience in the SaaS industry. I specialize in creating meaningful and satisfying experiences that not only delight users but also make their work and lives easier. By leveraging user research and user interface design, I craft solutions that address real-world problems and drive results for both users and businesses.
I earned a B.S. in Interactive Design from Kennesaw State University, where I developed a strong foundation in combining creativity, functionality, and human-centered design principles. My journey as a designer has been guided by my belief that great design is more than aesthetics—it's about solving problems, enhancing usability, and creating seamless experiences that people love.
While product design is my primary focus, I also have a passion for web design and development, and I'm always eager to explore new web technologies. InStore is part SaaS tool and part Marketplace designed to give students a chance to learn the ropes of starting their own business by giving them an environment where they can learn by doing. Our goal is to create a space that lowers competition and pressure on students while allowing them to gain valuable and relevant experience to further their careers.

Leave Me Alone
Leave Me Alone is an IOS app designed to combat phone addiction and motivate users to spend less time using their phones. With the help of my wonderful team, we implemented a Goal-Directed Design approach to design an app that best served our users' needs and goals. We followed the Goal- Directed Design process to go from idea to high-fidelity prototype, with multiple rounds of user testing to validate our decisions.

Product Designer
I managed UX and UI design for eight product offerings, leveraging frameworks to create user-centered experiences. I delivered high-fidelity prototypes, collaborated with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless handoffs, and drove consistency across all products. My efforts consistently enhanced usability and elevated the overall experience.
UI Designer
Delivered industry-leading user experiences for diverse personas by designing modern, accessible UIs and building a scalable design system from scratch. Worked with developers to bring designs to life and worked with product managers to balance user and business needs. Leveraged user research to create solutions that empower users and drive success.
Conference Technologies and UX Coordinator
I contributed to the organization of the 2021 Scholarship in Teaching and Learning Conference held by Kennesaw State University. In my role, I facilitated the creation of a conference schedule website/app utilizing the Sched.com platform. I was responsible for ensuring a smooth and user-friendly experience for attendees of this virtual conference.
Graphic Artist/Digital Communication Specialist
I created print and digital design materials for academic workshops, programs, and conferences. Additionally, I contributed to an operations team that put on dozens of events, both virtual and in-person, ranging in size from small workshops to a 500-person international conference.
